Subaru of Indiana Automotive

Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, Inc., (SIA), was the first joint venture between two Japanese automotive manufacturing companies - Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI) and Isuzu Motors Limited. FHI owned 51 percent and Isuzu 49 percent. The total investment in the Indiana facility is approximately $1.19 billion. As of January 1, 2003 SIA is a wholly owned subsidiary of FHI. It is now known as Subaru of Indiana Automotive. All integrated operations from stamping to trim and final assembly are performed at the Lafayette, IN location.
